New TV Favorite...

So I used to make fun of my mom because she watches NCIS - and not just because she watches it, but she will record every single syndicated episode that airs on USA Network on not just one TV in the house, but on all three TVs (drives my dad CRAZY). But anyways, she really enjoyed watching JAG when it was on and I always thought of both JAG and NCIS as shows for older people - not very hip or current. I am now eating my words (mmmm, tasty!) because I am now a fan.

NCIS stands for Naval Criminal Investigative Services and they deal with all Naval and Marine criminal cases. It's similar to Bones and CSI, I suppose, but still very different. The show is so much fun because the characters are really unique and really funny. My favorites have to be Abby, the goth forensic scientist who sleeps in a coffin, goes bowling with the nuns and is addicted to caffeine; and Ducky, the British medical examiner who talks to his "patients" and always provides witty anecdotal stories and trivia to the cases. The cases are fun, the forensics are really cool....and did I mention it's just really funny? The greatest thing about it, though, is that it's all about the military. And I love the military.

Not that I need another TV show to watch....but this one is a keeper.
