"I am looking for someone to share in an adventure..."

To say that I am excited for The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey to come out in December is the understatement of the decade.  I started rereading the novel about nine months ago, carrying it around in my purse and pulling it out whenever I had a spare moment.

I finally finished it last night.  And I am not ashamed to admit that I cried at the end.
I love Bilbo.  And Thorin.  And Bard.  And Gandalf.  I basically just love Tolkien.
My two favorite quotes from the novel:

"'Go back?' he thought.  'No good at all!  Go sideways?  Impossible!  Go forward?  Only thing to do! On we go!'  So up he got, and trotted along with his little sword held in front of him and one hand feeling the wall, and his heart all of a patter and a pitter." (pg. 69)

"It was at this point that Bilbo stopped.  Going on from there was the bravest thing he ever did.  The tremendous things that happened afterward were as nothing compared to it.  He fought the real battle in the tunnel alone, before he ever saw the vast danger that lay in wait." (pg. 212-213)

EPIC.  This is going to be EPIC.
